The purpose is to promote the development of tennis as a means of healthful recreation and physical fitness for all Calvert County residents, and to cooperate with the United States Tennis Association and other associations in the pursuit of these aims. The Corporation shall be a member organization of the United States Tennis Association, Inc.

 Included among the educational and charitable purposes for which the Corporation is organized are the following:

A.    To encourage and promote amateur tennis in the Calvert County area and to facilitate the funding and organization of tennis instruction, primarily for the youth of the county;

B.    To seek additional adequate tennis facilities or centers on a county-wide basis;

C.    To encourage and promote sportsmanship through competition, by organizing, managing, and coordinating tennis tournaments and organized team play;

D.   To aid, assist and encourage both public and private schools in helping to develop permanent plans of tennis instruction, and to maintain a liaison with the Calvert County Department of Parks and Recreation, the Board of Education, and other appropriate entities and organizations.
